Lent & Holy Week 2026 | Cuaresma y Semana Santa 2026

PRAYER
Pray the Stations of the Cross: This Lenten season, visit the Way of the Cross path at the St. Raphael Site at 31 S. Henry St., Madison, WI 53703, or pray the Stations at any of our churches.  

Confessions: We offer Confessions starting 30 minutes before all Mass times. We  will have additional Confession times as follows on Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27: 6-9 PM bilingual at St. James Church and 6-9 PM in Spanish at St. Joseph.  At St. James, the evening will begin with a Scripture reading, preaching, and examination of conscience, and followed by individual confessions.

ALSMGIVING
Some simple options for almsgiving:
1. Catholic Relief Services rice bowls will be available at St. James and St. Joseph Churches the first few weeks of Lent. Please bring back your Rice Bowl donations by the weekend following Easter.
2. Donate to the parish St. Vincent de Paul conference. You may mail it or drop it off at the parish office. Please clearly indicate it is for St. Vincent de Paul.
