Do you have a heart on fire for Jesus and a passion for helping the next generation encounter His love? Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish is looking for a vibrant, mission-driven individual to join our Evangelization Team as the Discipleship Coordinator for Children and Youth.
Our mission is simple and bold: to glorify God and make disciples. We are looking for someone who embodies patience, flexibility, and chispa—that special spark that brings joy, energy, and positivity to every encounter. We are looking for someone with a deep desire to win, build, and send disciples. The ideal candidate is someone who naturally looks to create opportunities for relationship-led personal conversions to Christ; someone who looks to simplify procedures in order to invite others into living a sacramental life; and someone who encourages people to take ownership of their faith and to grow in responsibility within the life of the parish.
As Discipleship Coordinator for Children and Youth, you’ll lead our efforts to help children and youth grow in their love for Jesus. You’ll recruit, form, and shepherd a team of catechists, equipping them to share the faith with confidence and joy. You’ll also create and lead one exciting, fun-filled event each month (offered on two dates) that brings the energy of Vacation Bible School or Catholic summer camp to life. These events focus on friendship, fun, and introducing monthly faith formation themes in a way that captivates young hearts. In addition, the Discipleship Coordinator works with the Evangelization Team and catechists to provide proximate preparation for children, youth, and their parents as they journey toward receiving the Sacraments of Confession, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
This is more than a job—it’s a mission. If you are fluent in both English and Spanish, love working with young people, and want to be part of a Spirit-led team that’s transforming lives, we want to hear from you.
